    Tried it myself - I was not able to boot directly from a IBM Ultrium tape.
    It worked when first booting from aix cd-rom 1 and then selecting system
    recovery / restore from mksysb.

    Wehn you say AIX must be 5.1 or higher that is on the boot tape
    (mksysb) right?
