Did you select 2 target disks for the restore? You should not have to break
the mirror if you do that.

Subject: [aix-l] mksysb restore "not enough disk space selected"

I'm trying to do a mksysb restore from a system with 2 18GB mirrored rootvg
drives to a new machine with 2 36GB drives. When the system boots from the
mksysb and starts the install it reports the following error:

"not enough disk space selected to contain os"

There has to be enough space on the new disk, its twice the size of the old
one. Has anyone else seen this or
    know of a workaround?

    Thanks,
    Christian Lair
