    Tony,

    you can try diag/task selection/format media for scsi or
    for SSA, diag/task selection/ssa service aids/format media.

    This won't write over the data with zeros, but will at least reformat.

    Is there a disk wipe utility for AIX / UNIX that will clean the disks
    completely? We have one for PCs but I haven't located one for AIX. Any help
