dont care, those are the cpu idle processes
they run when no other process wants to run

I wonder why you have 7 of them... do you have 7 cpu?!?

Subject: ps aux shows high CPU process which seem to have no origin.

    Hi
We have migrated our AIX 4.3.3 system to AIX 5L . We noticed that the
system was a bit slow. On doing a basic ps aux this is the output I get

    afdev>ps aux | more

as you can see they seem to show very high CPU. I have even tried to
shutdown the box and restart and we still get these processes.

    Oslevel gives the following output.

    afdev>oslevel -r
    5100-03

Any ideas what these are and how to get rid of these.

    Regards
