Just so an "lsof /tmp" when you are NOT in "/tmp". It will show all
process using "/tmp" and their sizes. It is usually obvious who is the
"hog". Then look at the process via the PID you just obtained. That will
tell you what program is running a muck and leaving a file open. Kill it
and go on.
