    Mainly an NFS server to UNIX workstations and servers. Including these:

    IBM RS/6000 (44P-170, H70, P655, etc.)
    HP-J6000
    HP ES-45 {DEC-Alpha}
    Sun's
    A few SGI's

    Later, we will add FastConnect and server the same filesystems to PC's.

    The big hitters (for now) will be dozens of RS6k's, a few dozen HP J6000
    and 10 ES-45's doing FEA. This includes $HOME, CAD drawings, data file
    I/O. No DB stuff to speak of.

    Hope that answers your questions.

    We have two P655 that are NFS only servers serving up multiple terabytes of
    filesystems that reside on fibre attached EMC SAN and a FAStT500.

    What would be good entries in the "/etc/syslog.conf" I would want to
    capture?

    What "nfso" setting would a I want to change to enhance the NFS serving of
    these filesystems?

    How many "nfsd" should I have or is that automatic?

    Thanks,
