    It is not that simple. Remember that AIX will remember the PVID of the
    disks. So, AIX is probably going to see the drive as hdisk1 even though you
    put in hdisk0's slot.

    However, I think you are missing the point of the mirrorv rootvg command.
    Once mirrored, AIX keeps both drives in sync. So, in the event of a disk
    failure the other drive will keep the system up, regardless of whether
    hdisk0 or hdisk1 failed. If you put both hdisk0 and hdisk1 in the bootlist
    you will even be able to boot off of the good drive, again regardless of
    which drive failed. And if the disks are hot swapable you'll be able to
    replace and re-mirror the bad drive while the system is still up!
