    Check the port speeds again. This sounds like the typical 100_Full_Duplex on
    your machine with 100_Half_Duplex on the switch. Do not auto negotiate.

    Guys,

    I have a major throoughput issue on a AIX421-01 machine. The issue is that
    I can achieve acceptable throughput going out of the machine, but going IN
    to the machine is slower than a dog stuck in glue.

    This is straight FTP to and from the box. I've tested:
    disk and to memory
    from different machines
    different ethernet adapters
    different switch ports
    different cables
    checked port speeds etc.
    CURRRENTLY sniffing

    Just FYI yhis is a clone of production which is working FINE!! IDEAS
    PLEASE!!
