    Not Oracle, but I use GPFS in a HACMP/ES env..

    The first thing that I think of is that GPFS has a very low
    max pagepool limit of only 512 MB. So, while a JFS or JFS2 filesystem
    happily will use your full 24 GB of memory as pagepool, the GPFS
    filesystem might have to flush/read to/from disk a lot more often.
    That can kill your performance.
