There is a big con. 4.3.1 is not supported with 5L. There are significant
changes in 5L that will make it not work.
The earliest version of HACMP that is supported with 5L is 4.4.1. So in your
case, you'll have to follow a supported migration path, i.e. migrate HACMP
first.

Subject: AIX Migration to 5L and HACMP
Good afternoon to everyone,
Has anyone done a migration of AIX from 4.3.3 to AIX 5L while keeping the
HACMP Software to 4.3.1? Any pros and cons from those who have done this?
Thanks
