    Richard, you will need to use your maintenance update CD and load the
    printer drivers for the HP laserjet printers... I'm fairly sure that ML 10
    has the drivers, so load the ML 10 CD and use SMIT or SMITTY to 'Install and
    Update from ALL Available Software' then select and load the HP Printer
    drivers. I usually load/update all the HP drivers so I can evaluate drivers
    on printers as needed.

    We are at 4330-10.

    Only ML07 reports that filesets are missing, the rest is OK

    In '/usr/lib/lpd/pio/predef' is no file called 'hplj-4050.pcl' or
    'hplj-4050.ps'

    Richard, look in the '/usr/lib/lpd/pio/predef' directory and see if you
    have file called... 'hplj-4050.pcl', if not then you will probably need a
    maintenance update to AIX 4.3.3 to obtain the newer HP printer drivers.
    What maintenance level are you at? Execute the command 'instfix -i | grep
    AIX' and make sure you have all filesets loaded for each maintenance
    release.

    Is there (somewhere) a extended driver set available ?

    We use 4.3.3

    Richard, try using the hplj-4050 driver, seems to work on 95% of the
    requirements for us.

    I want to send a Postscript job to a HP Laserjet 4200n printer. The previous
    one ( a 4100n ) worked

    fine with the hplj-4000 driver, but this one won't print the job.

    Does anyone of you use a HP4200n for PostScript ? And what driver are you
    using ?
