    others - are more likely to be able to recommend something if we know a
    little more.

    Do you mean "AIX vs Windows" or do you mean "RISC vs CISC - any OS" or what?
    Just Intel, or any x86? AIX/Solaris/HPUX/Linux/BSD; IBM/Sun/HP?

    Do you have a particular HTTP server in mind? What's it going to be used
    for? What admin skills are available?
