boot image and boot record

    We can create the boot image on hdiskx like this:
    bosboot -ad /dev/hdiskx
    And can clear the boot record of the specified physical volume with "chpv
    -c hdiskx"

    So i want to know about the differences between boot image and boot record.
    Any one knows ?
