We are still undecided (pancake syrup moved faster in winter, than we
    move).

So far, I've looked at Storagetek, SMS and Service Express. Another one
that recently came to light was Northrup-Grummand (sp).

Savings so far are a minimum of 30%.

I see BV posted a similar post last summer about alternatives to using IBM
    for hardware support.
We currently have most of our servers on "7/24 coverage all parts and
labour" and I am wondering what options there are to save some $$.

My plan is to start with IBM and see what options we have there.
I know we will also need to determine what risk we are willing to take but
the issue is we have very
few support calls to IBM so it needs to be reviewed and justified.
We are located in Western Canada so I know my options are limited compared
to the larger US cities. I assume another arrangement would be getting
some technical support from an IBM business partner and then get parts
shipped overnight for replacement by our staff (me).

Just wondering what other companies do for hardware support...

    Mark
