Starting a system dump

    Hi,
         On a test system if i am initiating a system dump,will it cause any
    problem for the system to come up after the dump is finished. As long as it
    is a test system where i can afford for a reboot i think i can go with
    initiating a system dump. Pl let me know if there are any points to be taken
    care before i start with this.
