    Hi,

FYI. The easiest way to fix this problem in the future is to
    use:

                    alt_disk_install -v <new volume group name> <disk>

            Regards,
            Joseph
    -----
Usage alt_disk_install: Create Alternate Disk: mksysb (-d) or clone
    (-C):
          alt_disk_install {-d <device> | -C} [-i <image.data>] [-s
    <script>]
                           [-R <resolv_conf>] [-D] [-B] [-V] [-r]
                           [-p <platform>] [-L <mksysb_level>]
                           [-b <bundle_name>] [-I <installp_flags>]
                           [-l <images_location>] [-f <fix_bundle>]
                           [-F <fixes>] [-e <exclude_list>] [-w <filesets>]
                           [-n] [-P <phase_option>] <target_disks...>

Usage alt_disk_install: Determine Volume Group Boot Disk (-q):
          alt_disk_install -q <disk>

Usage alt_disk_install: Rename Alternate Disk Volume Group (-v):
          alt_disk_install -v <new volume group name> <disk>

    Usage alt_disk_install: Wake-up Volume Group (-W):
          alt_disk_install -W <disk>

    Usage alt_disk_install: Put-to-sleep Volume Group (-S):
          alt_disk_install -S

Usage alt_disk_install: Clean Up Alternate Disk Volume Group (-X):
          alt_disk_install -X [<volume group>]

    Bill,

I think that did the trick. Thanks for the tip!! The importvg looks
like it does a lot of stuff, adding stuff to /etc/filesystems, etc. The
redefinevg was just what i needed, and seemed to work fine. Now, should
i run a synclvodm just to be safe?

    thanks,
    ray
