    Whats really bugging me now is I have installed the latest openssh and zlib
    filesets on our AIX 5.2 server, when I installed openssh and zlib files
    (for AIX 4.3.3 and not the AIX 5.2 onces) on our AIX 4.3.3 server the zlib
    file configures the openssh filesystem but it doesnt do the same when
    installed on AIX 5.2, it just say "Completed OK" no error nothing..... and I
    still can't see ssh logins via the who command.

    Thanks.

    this one?
     <http://www.bullopensource.org/download/aix52/openssh-3.8.1.0.exe>
    http://www.bullopensource.org/download/aix52/openssh-3.8.1.0.exe

    that should work. I always compile on my own, so I cant say for sure.

    again, the ssh-version does not matter - only the platform (4.x or 5.x)
    where it has been compiled

    Would you agree that the version

    openssh-3.8.1.0.exe

    is the correct version for AIX 5.2L, this is off the Bullserver. Do I need
    anything else before I run this?

    Thanks

    you are using a 4.3.3-ssh version

    utmp structure changed vom 4.x to 5.x

    -> use a ssh-version compiled on 5.x

    this is not related to the ssh-version you use - just where its been
    compiled
