If that combination is not explicitly in the latest PCI adapter placement
guide, then it's not supported.

It may work, but you are on your own.

I tried to put a 5701 in an M80 and was told the above by IBM support.

Can anyone confirm whether a 5701 10/100/1000 ethernet
adapter will work in an H50? It appears to me that
the answer is no, and that feature 2975 is the "H50
Version" for a gigabit adapter. However, I have a
5701 available that I would use if possible.
