Server <--------> Tape Drive <-----------> Server
I do it all the time. On several servers.
Just be sure to change the SCSI ID of one of the SCSI adapters, otherwise
you'll have a conflict on the bus.

Hi Guys,
Is it possible to share tape drive in AIX platform? Can anybody help me? I
have 2 AIX 4.3, one has tape drive (4mm) and the other one don't have. I
need to have a system boot backup (using mksysb), a bootable tape to the
one server that don't have tape drive. I am thinking if it is possible to
share tape drive to other machine.
If so, can you show me how?
Thanks in advance,
Ruby Ann Domalanta
