gcc Installation

    I'm having trouble installing gcc. I downloaded the
    gcc.3.3.3.tar.Z file from the UCLA site, uncompressed
    and extracted it. As far as I can tell, there are no
    intructions in the package and I don't know how to
    proceed with the installation.

    The other site offering gcc, bullfreeware.com, has
    instructions but their package is different and the
    version is older (3.3.1).

    Suggestions? Thanks.
