We did this a few months back (out of necessity) and don't remember any
issues. I remember reinstalling the NIM master software, but don't
remember if it was to clean up or a necessity. Either case we got the
    server back.

We created a new NIM master, moved the mksysb resource to it and it
    worked just fine.

Subject: Recovery of NIM server @Disaster Recovery test.

Quick question for anyone out there using NIM as a method of recovery
    for their systems.

We will be doing a disaster recover test soon, and I was curious if
anyone had run into any issues when recovering their NIM server, and
then doing NIM mksysb recovery from it.

Particularly any issues with NIM itself?? Issues with the network
interfaces defined in the NIM configuration??

We will be recovery the NIM server with a mksysb tape.

    Thanks,
    Ralph
