    Bill,
We haven't touched the other cable at all, as you have mentioned it
might be any loose contact issue. I'll check it up. But can i eliminate the
scsi termination issue as the system was running fine previous to this, and
we haven't done any changes other than plugging out the disks on the scsi
    controller 0.

    Thanx
    Praveen.K

    Hi,
I have 2 disks on my 440-170 model, where i want to take out one
disk(hdisk1) which is not being used at all. I understand this model comes
with 2 scsi controllers which i am able to see from the "lsfcg" output
    also.
I find that the 2 disks are connected to the scsi 0 controller at id's 4 &
    5
    for hdisk0 and hdisk1 respectively.

Now when i have plugged out the disk at id5(hdisk1), i have given a reboot
where it fails showing an error 0637 and P1/Z2.

When i have looked in to the config P1/Z2 is related to scsi1 controller
which is not being used at all.

Pl advise me to bring up the system.

Output of the lscfg cmd is like this
