Bill, that would be wonderful if you would share your scripts to rebuild
the remainding volume groups. I have the same in place for our HP systems
but am just getting started with AIX.

We do it all the time. We keep a set of AIX OS CD's offsite in our 'crash
cart' vault. This vault contains procedures, pens, pencils, CDs,
documentation and an inventory of what is in the vault itself.
From there, we just recall the 'crash cart' vault and the vault with the
mksysb tapes. We clone the server as we would any other 'clone' operation
and away we go.
We utilize some home-grown scripts that reside in rootvg to rebuild our
other filesystems. I can send those to you if you wish.

Has anyone used the mksysb tape to clone a 4.33 OS at a Disaster Recovery
Site? If so, would you mind sharing your procedures and any gotchas that
surfaced? This will be our first attempt and we have no development server
to test on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
