    Probably the quickest place to look is the IBM Redbook Certification Study
    Guides for Installation & System Recovery and/or Problem Determination.
    These are pretty good at guiding you through the steps necessary to
    recovery from a corrupted rootvg filesystem as well as other boot
    problems. They can be located at:

    Hello *

    We have a Motorola RS6000 running IBM AIX 4.3.3 that fails to boot
    completely.

    The LED code is 518.

    http://www.pimpworks.org/ibm/aixled.html defines this code as "Remote
    Mount of the root and /usr file systems failed during network boot".

    Has anyone seen this condition before and what have you done to recover
    from this?
