    Perhaps the 517 is a 'leftover' code. It gets past that now and stops at
    'syncvg rootvg'. I did go into maintenance mode and run fsck. /tmp was
    'dirty'.

    Now it is just stopped at 'syncvg rootvg' and there is no disk activity.

    Thoughts ?

    Hi Bill

    517 means a remote network IPL problem.check also on your filesystems free
    space (/, /usr, /var), and additionally check your /etc/inittab file for
    possible corruption. Since the system is booting using bootable media, I
    suggest to run fsck /, /usr and /var file systems. If fsck clear ok, run
    bosboot -a /dev/hd5 to recreat the boot image.

    I've already looked at the problem solving guides and stuff. I've already
    searched the archives.

    I've got an F50 that stops at 0517 Mount /var. If I boot from CD then
    mount filesystems, everything mounts fine.

    Any thoughts ?
