Thanks that is exactly what I needed. You wouldn't happen to know how to get the WWN of the AIX host to show up in the HOST PORT IDENTIFIER LIST when trying to DEFINE A HOST PORT on the FAST? With our Sharks we have always had to reboot or rmdev -l <adapter> and mkdev -l <adapter> to get the HOST WWN to be listed. Unfortunately, none of these are options right now on the system that I want to assign drives to. No other machines are currently mapped to this FAStT so I thought rebooting it would cause a Fabric and Port login and it might pickup the WWN of the host then. Any thoughts?

I've got a box right now with a 700 and 500 connected. It creates a
second dar, and two dacs as children. for instance:
    tiger:/usr/local/scripts/dev_db_cuts> lsdev -C|grep dar
    sa0 Available 01-S1 Standard I/O Serial Port
    sa1 Available 01-S2 Standard I/O Serial Port
    sa2 Available 01-S3 Standard I/O Serial Port
    sa3 Available 01-S4 Standard I/O Serial Port
    fda0 Available 01-D1 Standard I/O Diskette Adapter
en0 Available 2D-08 Standard Ethernet Network Interface
en1 Available 24-08 Standard Ethernet Network Interface
en2 Defined 40-58 Standard Ethernet Network Interface
    dar0 Available 3552 (500) Disk Array Router
    dar1 Available 1742 (700) Disk Array Router
    tiger:/usr/local/scripts/dev_db_cuts> lsdev -C|grep dac
    dac0 Available 21-08-01 3552 (500) Disk Array Controller
    dac1 Available 31-08-01 3552 (500) Disk Array Controller
    dac2 Available 1A-08-01 1742 (700) Disk Array Controller
    dac3 Available 2A-08-01 1742 (700) Disk Array Controller

see, it distinguishes the 500 and 700 in parenthases.

I want to Zone in the FAStT 600, assign LUNS to the AIX host, run cfgmgr, add the new disks to the existing VGs and then use migratepv to move all of the data. Once that is done I'm going to blow away the FAStT 700 LUNS and take away visibility by removing it from the Zone.
