    If the server is Linux and the client is AIX, you may need to export on the Linux box with the option "insecure".

    It may or may not be the case, but when the source host is not AIX (esp
    Linux), the following command is necessary on the target:

    nfso -o nfs_use_reserved_ports=1

    in a H70 which AIX 5.2.

    mount: 1831-008 giving up on:
    server:/filesystem
    vmount: There is an input or output error.
    NFS fsinfo failed for server server: error 7 (RPC: Authentication error)
