Since the FS fs01 is created on hdisk1 and once I set the inter-alloc policy
to min, I understand that as long hdisk1 has free space, the file system
uses the space on hdisk1 only, but if fs01 has to extend beyond hdisk1 then
you want me to add 1 pp of hdisk2 to the file system fs01 and set upperbound
to 2. But I dont think while increasing the file system I can specify PP of
which disk has to be used. If this is possible my problem is solved.

Hi Andy,
To put it short,I would like to know the following info.
I have a FS fs01 of size 5GB on an LV that has been created on hdisk1 which
is of 18GB. This PV belongs to a vg called dbvg, which has 5 other disks
which have a lot of free space. Now my question is if I increase the file
system fs01 to 20GB, from which disk does the system pickup the excess 2GB
space required for this file system. Is this random or can I make a choice
saying please pickup only from hdisk2 ?
I have tried all the below commands except migratepv before putting it in
the forum, but of no use.
I hope you have got my requirement.
TIA
Praveen

Hi,
Sorry, I cannot understand your words, but I do think that the following
command should be useful:
df
lslv -m lvname
lspv -l lvname
migratepv
