    Joseph,
    maybe even faster way is to use SMS menu to change the bootlist.

    - power on the box
    - wait for a beep
    - press either F1 (on a grafix console) or 1 (on a tty)
    - wait for SMS menu
    - repair the bootlist
    - put the mksysb tape into the drive
    - reboot
    - and wait (booting from tape is a loong process, could take about 10
    mins, even more)
