    Yes it is "normal"

    I don't do windows, but it seems to happen there too.

    I strongly recommend setting up ntp between these boxes. You don't even
    have to sync to a *real* clock outside of these if you don't
    want to, (though I don't see any reason not to). You can use ntp to keep
    these systems synced in their own little world.

    If you don't want to do ntp, I would suggest at least increasing the
    frequency that you manually sync them. Before there was ntp, we
    use to just run a nightly cronjob that ran "setclock othersystem" or the
    like to keep license, DB, and NFS servers on the same page.

    Hi,

            We have a set of servers where we end up doing syncronization of
    clocks every month as the time difference between these servers varies as
    time passes by. I mean on day 1 if the difference between two servers is 2
    seconds, on day 25 the difference between these 2 servers becomes 3 seconds.
    We sync the time manually i.e. we dont use the time daemon or ntp etc. Is it
    normal on all the systems or is it a problem only on our machines. Also the
    same time drop happens on windows or not.
