Praveen,
If IO speed is a high priority for fs01, have you considered "striping" the filesystem over more than one drive?

Disks used by LV

Hi,
I have a vg called dbvg which is made of 5 disks, where I am going
to create 5 File systems. Out of these 5, three of the fs are IO intensive.
I want to create 5 logical volumes one each for 5 file systems on each
individual disk. Also in future when I extend my one of the IO intensive
file system (say fs01), this should not occupy the disk space on the disk
were I already have another IO intensive fs (fs02), so I think I can choose
the disks where I would want my IO intensive file system(fs01) be spread
when the corresponding disk has no space left on it. Please correct if I am
wrong in saying this.
Say I have created a logical volume with the above preferences, now I would
want to check what are the disks my IO intensive file system is going to
use.
Can some let me know how to check what are the disks a logical volume is
going to use once that specific disk is full.
TIA
