We need to get more Ethernet traffic in/out of
some of our servers (mainly TSM - but not exclusively).
Etherchannel is the most attractive
method for a number of reasons.
The Etherchannel implementation on AIX supports
"per packet" load balancing or "per flow" load
distribution. (I refuse to call "per flow" load
balancing.) 802.3ad on AIX only supports various
"per flow" load distributing methods.
Does anyone know of any GbE switches which support
"per packet" load balancing Etherchannel?
Fred
P.S. Yes, I am aware this can cause out of order
packet delivery. ALL the traffic will be TCP
and I do not think the out of order packets
will be a problem.
