    Hey all,

NetIQ monitoring software doesnt have native support for an HACMP cluster
    in AIX.

How would I configure NetIQ to monitor an active/passive cluster? I must
monitor each individual server's local resources AND the HA managed
resources on the node that currrently owns them. My current workaround is a
"discovery" scheduled on the NetIQ master server to run every so often for
    the 2 local server nodes.

    Here's my initial thoughts:
I was thinking on each physical server, having two (2) seperate
    installations of the client:
    Installation #1
    -local hostname for local resources
    /usr/netiq/etc.....
    Installation #2
    -HACMP managed resources
    /usr/netiq_cluster/etc......

I would let HACMP manage the #2 netiq daemon starting and stopping. The
only issue I personally can see is wether or not both clients can be
running from different installation directories with /etc/inetd.conf
configured to listen on the same port numbers.
