is it possible that there is a physical connection issue? are there other
LUNs presented down this channel? what is the errpt output after you ran the
    lquerypv -h /dev/hdisk11 80 10

    ?

    1. is the LUN presented only to this host?
    2. can you successfully remove the device (rmdev -dl hdisk11)?
    3. can you successfully re-detect the device with cfgmgr with no errors?
    4. what is the output of lsdev -Cc disk|grep 2105?
    5. what is the host and FC adapter type. I assume this is switch-attached?

how long before running cfgmgr did you create the LUN?
sometimes it just takes time for the lun to be formatted on the shark for
presentation. I have seen it take up to about 30minutes depending how busy
    the ess is.

    Hi ,
I will be thankful if any one can deliver a fix on this,

I am trying to create a volume group from LUN of shark storage. After I
assign disk to the node and after cfgmr I system did not give PV ID ..i.e
unable to create VG. I got some out from lsdev -C as available like any
other disk. I got output ' PV ID not available' from lsattr -El hdisk11.

    I tried mkdev -l hdisk11 and mkvg with -f option .
meanwhile I will search in docs.

    thanks .
