On one of our 7028 boxes we are trying to set up mounting a CIFS file system using SMBFS. The box has 5.2 ML04 loaded and otherwise works fine
I've been trying to install the bos.cifs_fs package and continually get an error:
....
Method error (/etc/methods/cfgnsmb):
0514-038 Error loading kernel extension.
instal: Failed while executing the bos.cifs_fs.rte.config script.
....
Have downloaded fresh file set, uninstalled, reinstalled, but no good. The install prequalifies the files, but fails as above.
The file sets seem to get installed but nsmb device is not available, and we figure that's a result of the failure above and why we can't connect. Any thoughts on why install fails?
TIA,
Harold
