From the script you sent, I can answer Bill's question - yes it has
"#!/bin/sh" at the beginning.
The script does not need to output any text to the screen if everything
it expects is there. But it only checks for the "existence" of the
program/script it wants to exec, perhaps the problem lies there.
Check the permissions on the "db2setup" program/script. Since it is the
DB2 setup script, maybe you are missing a prerequisite or should restart
the install from scratch.
