    Hi,

you're xntpd will halt if the time difference is too large between your
machine and the time server. Try first synching your clock using ntpdate and
    then starting up xntpd.

why does my xntpd subsystem keep on stopping.

I've edited my /etc/ntp.conf for the server it needs
and the /etc/hosts for the IP addr location of server name.

Anything else I need to do? to sync my clock?
on the host server, I've also identified the client server above.

    TIA,

    Joe
