    Hi,

I have a var/service provider telling me that you don't have to reboot after
applying an ML, or that some 5.1 or 5.2 MLs don't require it.

I think you always do, if not right away, you should soon after. And if you
want the ML to fully take effect you must reboot.

I have never heard that some MLs don't require a reboot, whether it's 5.1 or
    5.2.

In fact I've seen numerous examples of problems from not rebooting, i.e.,
    commands fail and so on.

There isn't some trick to get around rebooting is there?

    Thanks,

    Kevin
