Jason, that fixed my problem. Thanks

Could you pls explain why my 5.2-ML03 mksysb restore would come out at
5.2-ML04? Both my SPOT and LPPSOURCE, are at ML4 and allocated resources
for the server that got had the restore done. The LPPSOURCE, SPOT, and
mksysb were all allocated to this server when I initiated the mksysb
    restore.

I guess what I want to know is how do I prevent this from happening in the
    future?

You want the NIM server itself to be at the highest level. But from our
experience your SPOT and your LPPSOURCE need to be at the same level as
your mksysb. Most of our problems have been experienced using a spot or
lpp that was lower then the mksysb but I think we have also experienced
issues when the spot and lpp were higher then the mksysb. We typically
keep a SPOT and LPPSOURCE for each ML version.

what if the NIM SPOT and LPPSOURCE are higher?

Is the NIM spot you are using the exact same level as the mksysb your
restoring. If key filesets are different then the overmount will not work.
We have run into this before.

Why would mksysb image from a p650 loaded from NIM to a partition on a
    p670 fail on overmount???

    I get the following output:

Examine .loader section symbols with the 'dump -Tv' command.
    Could not load program /usr/bin/sh:
Symbol resolution failed for /usr/ccs/lib/libc.a(shr.o) because:
