The F80 is an odd machine from a power supply perspective.

The F80 will fit up to 3 power supplies, and they will be redundant and
    load sharing.

However, if you get only 2 power supplies in the unit, it will not boot, as
they are BOTH required. They are neither redundant NOR load sharing.

Found that out the hard way when my PS blew last November.

    That's an interesting co-incidence. We've had a couple of F80 power
supplies fail, (and we've only got two F80s). I wonder if there's a
    problem
    with them?

The last one was as the server was rebooting, leading to several hours
outage to an important system, about two weeks ago.

On that occasion, it wasn't a reboot for the sake of it: we had to
    shut-down
everything for maintenance to the power supply in one of our machine rooms.
That's something you *really* want to avoid!
