I would never do multiple upgrades together (EMC & AIX). Do EMC this
weekend and AIX ML patches another day. Why mix up the variables :).

Folks,
Sorry, have been away for a couple months so this question may have
been asked.
We have two IBM P655 that fill a very critical role. Because EMC would
not bless AIX 5.2 when we first got these systems, we stayed
back on AIX 5.1. Now, we are about to have a major maintenance weekend
and we are going to newer EMC hardware and software. So, my
question is, do I take this opportunity to upgrade these two servers to
AIX 5.2 ML?? (that I know is blessed by EMC, has been out for
quite some time, is on all my other P655's and is stable)? Or do I
jump to latest ML of AIX 5.3?
I have heard very little about AIX 5.3 so maybe it is obviously not
ready for critical servers? Or has it too been debugged by many
sites using it? If you recommend 5.3, are there ML's and which one do
I want to go too?
Thanks,
Christopher M. Baker
