I also have this problem on my AIX 5.2 ML02 box with oracle 9i, external
disk array EMC CLARiiON CX600. but the error internal is not fixed, is any
other possibility under oracle?

Data Protection for mySAP.com errors on EMC Powerpath
Technote (FAQ)
Problem
Why does the AIX errpt show a SC_DISK_ERR2 and Error code -108 "can not
open
physical device" at every 24-hour interval.
Cause
The CLARiiON is an active/passive device. Only the active path (i.e. that
path actually being used) should be probed. The other paths are there for
PowerPath to use should there be a problem with the original path, and they
will not return the expected response when an inquiry is run against them.
Thus when the "createinfo" executable is run against the Powerpath rhdisk,
the SC_DISK_ERR2 error occurs.
Solution
As part of the Data Protection for mySAP.com product, an executable
"createinfo" is run by the PROLE process every 24-hours. The "createinfo"
will query the drives on the system to obtain information for filesorting,
which is saved in the discinfo.dat file and then used during the backup
processing to assist with performance.
The code used by "createinfo" just tries to access all possible disks of
the
current machine. There is no problem for disks which do not exist, becausre
there is a return code for the query to signal this. However, the EMC
Powerpath disk does exist, but does not allow multiple access on RAW level
and the following errors are seen in the output from the "createinfo" task:
Cannot open the disk '/dev/rhdisk10'.
Cannot open the disk '/dev/rhdisk11'.
Cannot open the disk '/dev/rhdisk12'.
...
To work around this issue, rename the "createinfo" executable; this will
stop the queries for the volumes and avoid the error. As long as no
additional disks and/or datafiles are added, the information in the
discinfo, dat file would be the same for each time the createinfo task runs.
Thus renaming the createinfo so it does not run will not affect the
performance. If more disks and/or datafiles are added for SAP or if the
data
files are moved to different locations, then it is suggested to again run
the createinfo task to build a new discinfo.dat file.

I use EMC Drives doing establishes and splits. When these EMC drives are
locked(established) by EMC and its about 5 minutes after, AIX throws out
the following errors. Any thoughts or experience on this 5 after error?
