    We use various tools to collect statistics but the main one is nmon.

    If you don't already have that, you can download it from the IBM web site.
    It can be used interactively, like topas, or it can be run in the
    background, writing to a file. The output is then processed with Excel to
    produce loads of charts.

    The other tools I've used in the past is sar, but I don't find that to be as
    useful as nmon.
