Subject: Delete line from a file

    Hi,

I want to delete a specific line (repetitive occurences) from a file. I have
tried doing it but I had to write the new contents in to file and then
discard the existing file and rename the new file to the old name.

My requirement is that I dont want another file to be created. but delete
all these lines from the existing file.

    TIA
    Praveen.K
