I've seen Suse installed on a pSeries box, and I think that the P4 you
mentioned will support it (but you can double-check that). Of course you
need the Power version of Suse linux.
I haven't heard that it could be dual-booted with AIX; my guess would be
    no.

    Dual Boot a RS/6000?

    Hi All,

I have a users who wants/needs a Linux system in his room. He presently
has a PC that he uses regularly and an IBM RS/6000 ( an IntelliStation
    Power 275 [9114-275] ) running AIX 5.2 ML02. He uses the RS/6000 less
often. So, he is asking if I could put either SuSE or RedHat on the
RS/6000 and have it dual boot in either Linux (most of the time) or AIX
    5.2 (some of the time).

Can this be done? Can Linux run on a 9114-275, a Power 4+ system? If
yes, can it be dual bootable?

Presently, he has two 36 GByte hard drives. The hdisk0 is rootvg with 27
GBytes free. The hdisk1 is homevg and it has 18 GBytes free.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
