Try to change BSD back to AIX 3 or 4 and see if that makes and difference.
If the printer is connected to a print server on the network, why you are
going though a Win2K server. You can setup the remote queue to go directly
to the printer server using the host/Ip of the print server and the queue
    name/port number on print server.
Also, most of the print server on the market now support HP Jetdirect, which
you can use on AIX very easily and more reliable

    Thanks for your response.

    Remote host : ho_fs1
    Remote print queue : CSD-Dotmatrix

Lpd services are up and running on win2k.

Actually 132.147.160.12 is a print server connected on network with 03
ports, LPT2 is 2nd port on which this printer is connected and configured.

Can you please specify what remote host and remote print queue name you used
when creating the queue. Also did you install and start the lpd service on
the WIN2k server. I am not sure why it is saying 'via port
132.147.160.12:LPT2' it should state instead the remote print queue on the
    remote host

    Basim,
    Thanks for your response.
With 'BSD' and 'local filtering' changes, now there is no print error on
win2k, but noting is getting printed. Log entry is :
"Document 205, /var/tmp/piorlfb_888874 owned by root (132.147.160.19) was
    printed on CSD-Dotmatrix via port 132.147.160.12:LPT2.  Size in bytes: 5776;
    pages printed: 0 "
    Please help.

    Faisal,
When creating the remote print queue on AIX try to change the 'Type of print
queue on remote server' from 'AIX version 3 or 4' to 'BSD'. Also try to use
local filtering instead of standard processing. I am not sure if you already
    done so

    Dear all,
This may be slightly off topic, but any of you have done something similar
or direct towards some helpful sources, I will be grateful.
We have created a queue for a printer on win2000 print server. When printing
is sent, it just get deleted in win 2000 server with error:
"Document 106, Local Downlevel Document owned by SYSTEM was deleted on
    CSD-Dotmatrix. "
