    You should be OK, provided you have not used any of the new features of AIX
    5.3: that's usually the way it works. However, I suggest you check in the
    AIX 5.3 Differences Guide and Installation Guide: if there's going to be any
    problems these two will tell you. You can find them on the IBM Redbooks
    site.
