We have 2104 disk array (two 2635 adapters and 9GB X 14 HD) which connect to
2498 (4-channel Utlra 3 RAID adapter) on AIX box. the 2104 configure as two
RAID5 (6X 9GB) with two hot spare HD.
Recently, it happen "SCSI_ARRAY_ERR6" and "SCSI_ARRAY_ERR9" errors on log
file. If I use "smit pdam" tried to list all dirves. It show RAID5 "dead"
and all drives "failed". I discussed with IBM software support and tried
to find out which hardware have problem (2635 or 2498). He told me is hard
to said from error logs.
I did check 2635 and 2498. There is NO amber light up. One of 2635 "reset"
light sometime blinking.
Due to we don't have hardware support. Does anyone know how to check which
adapter card is failed?
Thanks.
