You might be able to glean some of that info @:

    http://www-306.ibm.com/common/ssi/OIX.wss?buttonpressed=DET003PT011&hfdd=&hfud=&timestamp=1103642732886&user=EXT&page=1&previouspagevisited=0&us_hc_index=US&homecountry=US&us_hpl_index=en&pagelanguage=en&us_dl_index=en&documentlanguage=en&us_lang_choice_index=DET003PT008&DET003PGL001=DET003PT008&display_index=NAV002PEF005&NAV002PGL001=NAV002PEF005&det003pef003=EXTERNAL&coincidence_index=0&submit.x=80&submit.y=4

Hope that link works. It is the IBM Offerings page. It allows you to look up hardware information and replaced the old online sales manual.

The closest thing that I've ever seen for such a list is the listing
produced by the Configurator, an IBM sales configuration tool, but I'm
not sure that such a listing shows what is allowed to be set up by the
customer and what is not allowed. I, like Simon, can't imagine such a
list to be available to the customer.

I've never seen such a list and I don't believe it does or can exist.

Some of the hardware installation manuals indicate whether something can
    be installed by the customer.

In a lot of cases it will depend on the particular terms of your
    hardware maintenance contract.

It can also vary for a particular device. e.g. Installing a new PCI
adapter could depend on what model of server you're putting it in. For
example, installing new cards in a p690 was officially a CE task, even
though they're hot-swappable. The same card might be installed in a
    p660 by the customer.
