Awhile back I had setup a test volume group for our DBA, and I'm now
having problems removing it. We had a server crash a short time ago when
my boss made a change on the SAN which knocked offline all the logical
drives assigned to the db server, so I'm guessing my current problems are
related to that.
Anyway, here's what I get when I try to remove the volume group so that I
can remove the hdisk:
root@aixdb2-2:/db2/test# reducevg -df db2logsvg hdisk10
0516-062 lqueryvg: Unable to read or write logical volume manager
record. PV may be permanently corrupted. Run diagnostics
0516-882 reducevg: Unable to reduce volume group.
Is there no way to force the deletion of a volume group?
Thanks,
Mike
